Prof. Dr. İbrahim ÖZKOL

Founding Director (2019–2025)

Prof. Dr. İbrahim ÖZKOL completed his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at Istanbul Technical University (ITU), building a strong and long-standing academic foundation in the field of aviation. Throughout his academic career, he actively contributed to both research and education, and was promoted to the rank of full professor in 2005.

Between 2012 and 2018, Prof. Dr. ÖZKOL served as Vice Rector of ITU, undertaking significant administrative responsibilities. He also took part in various defense industry projects, serving as Chairman of the Board of ASELSAN between March 2017 and April 2018, and as an Independent Board Member from 2017 to 2021. He was re-elected as an Independent Board Member at the General Assembly held on 25 May 2022.

Serving as the Founding Director of our Institute between 2019 and 2025, Prof. Dr. ÖZKOL played a leading role in shaping its organizational structure, establishing its vision, and guiding its institutional development. His contributions have left a lasting foundation for the Institute's future.
