Information on the Undergraduate Minor Program
The Defense Technologies Minor Program is an officially recognized minor requiring a minimum of 18 credits (6 courses), designed to provide an interdisciplinary knowledge base and hands-on application skills in the fields of guidance, control, navigation, avionics systems, communications, and defense technologies.
The program aims to cultivate engineers who can meet the current needs of the defense industry by integrating theory, laboratory work and field applications. Key competencies students will acquire include:
- Developing a strategic perspective on R&D policies and technology management in the defense industry.
- Building a solid foundation in defense technologies, air vehicle systems and unmanned systems.
- Gaining deep knowledge and practical skills in guidance, navigation and autonomy topics.
- Obtaining the ability to solve engineering problems in wireless communications.
- Obtaining experience in embedded systems and real-time applications to contribute to autonomous platform development.
